Largemammal is me, Kevin Mercer. I live and work in New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia. My versatile stylistic approach keeps me busy with a variety of design projects, from doom metal, indie pop and punk rock posters to identity designs and local business brochures.
I have done poster work for Philadelphia promoters and venues such as R5 Productions, The Trocadero, Electric Factory Concerts, Heyday Entertainment, and Plain Parade. National touring acts like High On Fire, Melvins, and Dar Williams have commissioned work, as well as venerable labels like Polyvinyl and Secretly Canadian.
My poster work has been featured in The The Art of Modern Rock, (Grushkin/King) and SWAG 2: Rock Posters of the 90's and Beyond (Drate/Salavetz). I was also featured in the 2007 Print Regional Design Annual. Add to that a pile of group and solo gallery exhibitions and Flatstock appearances, and you've got one experienced designer at your service.
